Week 2 & 3 & 4

It feels like I haven't done much, but when I look at the calendar, a month has already gone by since I've landed here. I actually have to start reading textbooks and preparing for midterms already :(

Week 2

• Tried McDonald's limited time cilantro sauce and black sesame mochi pie

  • The sauce didn't have a strong cilantro flavor, but the pie was delicious!

• Got my hands on a trending siu mai pastry

  • It was actually pretty good and very unique

• Had a really disappointing Vietnamese beef noodle from the food establishment in the business school

• Got sick from the changes in temperature when stepping in and out of AC and into the hot outdoors

  • Went to the school clinic after a few days only to find out walk ins was full and the next available appointment was a whole week later

Week 3

• Went to Ikea to try the meatballs, it was alright

  • 

• Started a group project for marketing class, we had to create a "baby" to represent our group

  • We had to put on an entertaining show when presenting it to the class (this professor's class really pushes us to get out of our comfort zones ;-;)

  • 

    Forgot to take a picture of the final version with the apples

• Tried a black sesame walnut dessert soup at Grindie in Sha Tin

  • It was quite thin unlike the usual thicker dessert soups

  • 

• Went with some friends to Hong Kong Palace Museum

  • The interactive exhibition was the best! Kind of resembled TeamLabs

Week 4

• Finally got better, should've booked that appointment at the clinic to get prescribed medicine if it was going to take me that long to get better

• 2 typhoons were to make impact this week

  • I went out on Monday to buy some stuff to prepare for canteen closures and the supermarkets were already raided almost clean

  • the 2nd one was bad, it got to T10 level, which cancelled school. At first it seemed like nothing was really going on, then it started to rain really hard. I found out my window was crooked and was letting water and wind in. Many other students experienced similar issues with their dorms. Luckily my hostel didn't run out of water or electricity like some of the other ones.

  • My side was pretty calm with the building blocking

• Unfortunately, classes were back to normal the very next day following the typhoon despite all the debris

• Tried a new spot on campus: The Infinity Room. They take apple pay!

• On Friday I decided to explore Kowloon Tong, the station I frequently transfer trains at and the mall was huge. I also came across a pop up for Sanrio and Strawberry News. New Sanrio character unlocked and maybe it'll be my new favorite

• On Saturday went to try bamboo noodles & explore Sim City for a digital camera
